The Floating Stone Casitas are the only vacation rentals located directly in the village and one of the few remaining walkable towns in the US. Tubac is an artist village and from a historical point-of-view, one of the most important sites in the state of Arizona. While Native Americans have long inhabited this spectacularly beautiful river valley, the Spaniards first inhabited it in the mid 1700s followed by the missionaries. The silver miner, Charles Poston, established Tubac as the first capital for the state of Arizona in the mid 1850s. After a period of decline around the turn of the century, artists rediscovered the village in the mid 1960s and today Tubac is a mecca for art and history buffs, those wanting temporate, dry climate and visually stunning one for outside activities (hiking, golfing, birding, biking, plein-air painting, photography and more).
It is approximately 45 miles south of Tucson‘s International Airport and 20 minutes north of Nogales, Mexico off the I-19. Once you park your car in front of one of our 6 fully furnished casita vacation rentals, you can walk across the street to golf/tennis, to approxiately one hundred shops, art galleries, and fine restaurants, the historic Tubac Presidio, hiking and birding on the Anza trail that leads to the Tumacocori Mission, and so much more.
Each casita has its own separate bedroom, kitchen, private patio, washer/dryer, bar-b-que, wifi, satellite tv, and separate living room area. Everything is there for long or short stays (2-day minimum) with a fully equiped kitchen and all linens provided. Just come and enjoy for as long as your vacation lasts.
Since water is becoming an increasingly important health factor, we have gone out of our way to make sure our guests will enjoy the healthiest water possible. During your stay you will love our ionized water which is available through-out the complex for showering and cleaning. For drinking we offer our guests double-filtered, Kangen Water. Kangen water provides high alkalinity (combating the acidic nature of much of our food), is micro-clustered (promoting deep hydration - so important in the desert) and is ionized (preventing free-radical damage to our cells). Even our jacuzzi is chlorine-free and ionized. In short, you will enjoy health benefits from just using the water we provide.
